An Alpine resident advised he received a call from 801.756.9800 (Lone Peak PD number) and the person advised they were an officer and gave a badge number. The resident further advised the caller told him he had to give his SSN and other personal information for an investigation. The caller then told the resident to stand by for a call from US Customs and Border Patrol. The resident advised a number then called him that matched a number for US Customs and Border Patrol. He refused to give either caller his SSN or any other information, and wanted this incident reported and the public advised.
