Training

In order to maintain their Law Enforcement Certifications, Officers with the Lone Peak Police Department are required to complete a minimum of forty hours on in-service training every year.

This training can be in almost any subject matter as long as it is beneficial to each officer and their specific role and assignment. Within that forty hours officers must complete an annual requirement of use of force training, and a tri-annual training focusing on and teaching response to crisis intervention, mental health, special needs/autism and sexual assault/abuse incidents. The training supervisors at the Lone Peak Police Department continually work to provide topic specific training and training opportunities to our officers that will truly benefit both our officers and the communities we serve.
