Lone Peak Police Chief Brian Gwilliam Receives Utah Department of Public Safety Partnership Award

HIGHLAND, Utah – Lone Peak Police Chief Brian Gwilliam was recently awarded the Utah Department of Public Safety Partnership Award from the Utah Department of Public Safety (DPS) for his contributions to the state and for his commitment to enhancing public safety. 

Chief Gwilliam was honored at the recent awards banquet on Oct. 30, for his support of DPS as President of the Utah Chiefs of Police Association. Chief Gwilliam is a steady leader who has been an impactful advocate for positive change while building trust and collaboration among public safety agencies across the state. 

Chief Gwilliam has served as the Lone Peak Police Chief since 2012. He began his career as a patrol officer and worked in investigations, where he was then promoted to Patrol Sergeant and rose to the ranks of Lieutenant/Patrol Command before being promoted to Chief. 

Chief Gwilliam’s legacy of partnership and dedication to the profession will benefit the state of Utah for years to come. 

“It is truly an honor to receive this award, as the continued partnership with the Utah Department of Public Safety allows our department to foster a collaborative approach to safety and policing throughout the state,” said Chief Gwilliam.
