Officer Austin Williams

LONE PEAK HIGH SCHOOL

Officer Williams

I grew up in Las Vegas and moved up to Utah after high school to go to college and attended Utah Valley University with a major in psychology. I served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for two years in and around the area of Calgary Canada. In 2007, I graduated from the UVU police academy and was hired by the Provo Police Department. On 2009, I was selected, along with two other officers, to start a police motorcycle program in Provo. I worked as a motor officer for 4 years before being certified as a motorcycle instructor. I returned to patrol for a couple of years and then was selected to serve in Provo High School as their School Resource Officer and held that position for three years loving the opportunity to work with and guide the students.

I was hired on with the Lone Peak Police Department in November of 2022. A few months later in March, I was assigned to Lone Peak High School as their School Resource Officer getting to use my passion of working with students and troubled teens.

As an officer, I truly try to treat everyone with the respect and compassion that I would want my own family members to be treated with. I believe that almost all people are good to the core and are either making poor decisions or are dealing with tough situations. As I serve our citizens, I look for ways to remind people of their potential and unlock the good in themselves to be the best version of who they want to be.

Officer Norman Robinson

ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS AND JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOLS IN ALPINE AND HIGHLAND

I was raised in the beautiful state of Utah, where I spent my summers working hard on a farm in Idaho.

The experience instilled in me a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for perseverance and commitment.

I am blessed with an incredible family—my wife, ten children, and four grandchildren. Our home is truly a full house, filled with love, laughter, and the chaos that comes with raising a large family.

Together with my wife, we owned and operated a small trucking company. While this business was rewarding, I felt a deep calling to serve my community in a more meaningful way. This led me to attend Salt Lake Community College’s Police Academy, where I graduated and began my career in law enforcement. Today, I am proud to serve with the Lone Peak Police Department.

My experiences as a father, combined with my commitment to helping others, have given me a unique understanding of the needs of children. This understanding motivated me to apply for the role of School Resource Officer. I am honored to serve in this capacity and to make a positive impact on the lives of students, parents, and the wider community in Highland and Alpine.

I approach my work with patience, empathy, and a strong desire to help shape a positive future for our young people. It is truly a privilege to play a role in their development and to help ensure that they feel safe and supported in their schools and beyond.
